Do we allow refunds?
Yes, just like McAfee Corporation we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, which simply means you can get a refund for any product you buy through us within 30 days of the initial purchase date. Please go to our Refunds page for more information about the refund process itself.
Do we sell CD-based products?
No, we only offer downloadable versions of McAfee security products. There are several reasons for this.
First, when you buy a download you can obviously install the corresponding product immediately on your computer. This is helpful if you suspect you have been infected by malware: you will be able to correct the problem in a few minutes, whereas if you had to wait for the product CD product in the mail you could go days without protection and would most likely be forced not to use your computer at all.
Second, downloadable software is not subject to sales tax under California, as it is considered a non-tangible good. However, CDs are considered tangible goods (you can "physically" touch them, if you will) and are therefore subject to sales tax. By only selling McAfee products in download form, we are able to legally bypass the collection of sales tax for our California customers and save them about 10% on top of the product's cost.
Who are we?
We are a registered McAfee Authorized Reseller Partner for home and home office consumers, based in Northern California's sunny Silicon Valley. Because we buy McAfee product licenses in bulk directly from McAfee Corporation we are able to resell them to you, our valued customers, at discounted prices.
Are we safe?
First, as you can see we display the "McAfee Secure" logo on each and every page of our website. What does this mean? That our website is checked daily (indeed, notice the logo says "TESTED" with today's date on the right) via security scans performed by McAfee, looking for viruses, spyware, phishing attempts and other online threats. So when you are on our website and see this logo, you can rest assured that your personal information is safe with us, should you buy a product, and that no dangerous malware will be downloaded onto your computer without your knowledge.
Second, we are PCI-compliant. PCI compliance is another service offered by McAfee Corporation and it is necessary to have it in order to be allowed to process credit card payments. And even though we will ask for your credit card number for any purchase you wish to make on our website, just know that we do not store any credit card information in our database. This data is securely stored on our Payment Gateway's servers, Authorize.net (see their logo at the bottom of every page), one of the biggest online players when it comes to processing online e-commerce transactions.
Why buy from us instead of McAfee?

McAfee Corporation, on the other hand, has offices in many different states so depending of where you live you might get charged sales tax for your state if you buy from them directly.
Can You renew my McAfee subscription through our website?
You certainly can and should, since our renewal prices are typically much lower than what you would find on McAfee.com. Just create an account with us (please use the same email address you used to create your McAfee.com account; you do not have to use the same password, however), buy the product you need to renew and download it instantly - you're done!
You cannot install the product you just bought from you because of a password problem, can you help?
We can. During installation you will be asked for the email address and password associated with your McAfee account. If and only if you already were a McAfee customer prior to buying on our website McAfee-Online-Store.com, you will need to use your McAfee password, NOT your McAfee-Online-Store.com password. Your McAfee password is the one you created when you first bought a McAfee product, either directly on McAfee.com or through another partner (e.g., not us), and we at McAfee-Online-Store.com have no way to know what it is. If you forgot your McAfee password, please go to https://home.mcafee.com/Secure/Protected/Login.aspx and click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link to reset your McAfee password. Then, use this new password when installing your product. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience.
